LHQ is now compatible with mobile devices and you can ask your participants to submit their results via cell phones or tablets.

The Language History Questionnaire (LHQ)

is an important tool for assessing the language background of learners/speakers of multiple languages.

LHQ3 works the best when you use the following features

Thanks to native speaker volunteers and Google’s machine translation technology, LHQ3 has 43 language versions and 20 are proofread carefully.

Four aggregated scores can represent participants’ overall proficiency, dominance, and immersion levels in each of the languages concerned.

LHQ3 automatically generates bar plots, pie charts and violin plots to visualize your data. Users can work with different plots interactively.

If you encounter problems in using the questionnaire, please contact Zhexiao Guo or Ping Li. We welcome suggestions and feedback to improve the LHQ3.
